Nerea Berraondo

15Recognised as one of the most prominent voices of her generation in the field of Spanish early music, Nerea Berraondo has performed on major international stages, such as the Theater an der Wien (Vienna), Théâtre des Champs-Élysées (Paris), Teatro Municipal de Santiago (Chile), Teatro Real de Madrid, L’Auditori (Barcelona), Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Centro Cultural de Belém (Lisbon), and Teatro Baluarte (Pamplona), where she is a frequent collaborator. She was also artistic director of the International Spanish Music Festival in Minnesota (USA). As a performer, she has worked with renowned orchestras, including the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (USA) and the Symphony Orchestras of Valencia, Bilbao, Bizkaia, and Navarra (Spain). In her symphonic repertoire, she excelled in works such as Styx (Kantscheli), alongside Gidon Kremer, Elijah (Mendelssohn), El Amor Brujo (Falla), and Chichester Psalms (Bernstein). She also dedicated herself intensely to early music, collaborating with prestigious conductors such as Eduardo López Banzo, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Alan Curtis. With an extremely broad vocal range, Nerea Berraondo combines expressiveness and refined technique in her performances.
