Juan de la Rubia, principal organist at the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, is originally from Vall d’Uixó (Castellón). His artistic training developed in several European capitals in the areas of organ, piano and improvisation, the latter working with Emilio Molina and Wolfgang Seifen. The Premio extraordinario obtained at the end of his studies and the first prizes in the Permanent Competition of Spanish Musical Youth and Primer Palau significantly influenced the beginning of his career. His active work as a soloist has allowed him to perform on prominent stages in more than thirty countries around the world and has served as a soloist and conductor alongside orchestras such as the National Orchestra of Spain, the RTVE Orchestra, ORCAM and the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, among other notable groups. In the field of historically informed interpretation, he worked with Les Siècles and directed the Freiburger Barockorchester, the Tenerife Baroque Orchestra and, recently, promoted the creation of his own orchestra: the Orquestra del Miracle, obtaining excellent reception from both the public and critics at its presentation in June 2023.
