Born in Lisbon, Mariana Moldão began her music education at the Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa, where she studied Piano with Karl Martin Gerhardt and Vocal Technique class with Ana Leonor Pereira and Armando Possante. She attended vocal improvement courses with Claire Vangelisti, Ana Leonor Pereira, Armando Possante and Isabel Alcobia. She has a Masters in Music Teaching, Choral Conducting, from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. She is a member of the Coro Gulbenkian, the Officium Ensemble and the MediæVox Ensemble and regularly collaborates with other vocal groups, such as Capella Patriarchal, Voces Caelestes, among others. She participated in several recordings with different groups, including the Choeur de Chambre de Namur, the Officium Ensemble and Capella Patriarchal. She conducts the choir of the Basilica da Estrela, the choir of the Air Force Academy and the Animato Choir (employees of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation). At the same time, she is a speech therapist, working at Hospital da Luz Lisboa and in a private practice, and is a member of the Voice Department of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy.
